About the Illustrator
Once upon a time, I was a reflective, young student in 12th grade. Conscientious and studious, I came fully prepared to class each day. Then I met Melissa. We carpooled, arrived at the school’s parking lot, and promptly turned around and headed downtown to have coffee and croissants instead. Somehow, we still managed to graduate, decided to marry foreign citizens, and moved exactly fifteen times combined within the past fifteen years. While we do most of our Kaffeeklatsch via Skype these days, we have plugged in our respective coffee makers in Kitzingen, Nürnberg, Mannheim, Kaiserslautern, Dover, Fort Meade, Chicago, Miami, San Angelo, and Berks County over the years. These days, you can still find us in different time zones, while our moms roll their eyes when they see each other overseas. “Those two,” they say…
